Have you ever fallen in love at first sight? Have you ever had that love returned? It was long ago for me. I got turned around, lost track of reality.
She stood before me, hair languishingly riding the wind. Her body shadowed by the horizon. I met her arms with mine, wishing this moment eternal.
I had no recollection of feeling this way. My sorrows and hardships melted away. I felt totally relaxed and safe in her arms. She felt the same way.
We put our everything into each other. It just wasn't meant to last.
